​BIO

Coleen Emmenis grew up in the world of theatre and was fortunate to be exposed to numerous artistic influences and various artists, which have been depicted in her ever changing art pieces.

Her academic studies over the years have directed her artistic energy into experimenting with various medium, techniques and themes.

Coleen has worked in professional theatre, from assistant stage managing to directing, this coming in handy when following a career in teaching and lecturing art. Her teaching experience ranges from pre-school to post graduate students, later moving into senior lecture and involved in management at The College of Cape Town Art Department.

Coleen Emmenis has taken part in over 40 national and international exhibitions and has sold a vast variety of work over this period.

Her work for her Masters Degree earned her the Chancellors Award as BEST MASTERS STUDENT 2006 and was selected to be exhibited at the AVA GALLERY in Cape Town.



Once Coleen left Cape Town , she joined forces with Annalie Theunissen of ART-I-KAPA, and had been involved with leadership training programs in craft production and project managing skills programs for the Overberg region.
